I learned how to find the cafeteria's menu on the internal network. Today's was mushrooms, mushrooms, and more mushrooms, so I made myself some instant Knorr Black Bean soup. It was okay. Later I had instant Annie's Mac&Cheese. It was pretty decent, even if I did overcook the macaroni till it was starting to harden again.
It was also nice being able to nosh on a Luna bar and decaffeinated iced English Breakfast tea instead of the stuff they sell in the vending machines. I am already feeling much better for it.
Food -- or a lack thereof -- has a direct effect on your mood and well-being when you're hypoglycemic. I'm moderately brittle, so keeping my blood sugar level makes me a very happy camper. It rarely gets too high, and when it gets too low I get woozy, sleepy, stupid, and cranky.
Warren wants me to install my new bathroom cabinets with him tonight. I'm not sure I'm up to much of anything tonight. I'm still fighting a cold, and I still can't take anything for it. OTOH, it'll be a lot nicer to have storage space in my bathroom (there was no medicine cabinet when I moved in).
Work was fairly dull. I think I've figured out how to get the script I was given to get me the information I need. I promised stuff to my supervisor Monday, and I'd like to beat that deadline.
I've also got to find the sheet I put together with a list of local Bichon Frise breeders and puppy availability. One breeder told me she'll know this week whether her female pups are "show" dogs or "companion" dogs. I don't have the time or energy to show a dog; I want a companion.
Nothing exciting in the works for dinner tonight; I made "ravioli en brodo" last night, and tonight I'm having leftovers. (It's the closest I could come to chicken soup with kreplach.)
